Linda Burton Obituary

Burton, Linda

Howell, Michigan

Linda Burton, age 73, crossed over to be with her beloved husband David and the Heavenly Father on April 7th, 2024. Linda led a fulfilling and love-filled life.  She was smart, musically inclined; she loved to play the piano and sing, and was hardworking alongside her husband Dave. She was talented and so loving.  Linda created beauty with everything she did, because she did everything with love and it truly showed.  She was crafty and decorated like a trained artist.  Her smiles were so beautiful you could not help but to smile with her. She always lit up a room, and her hearty laugh brought joy to those who knew her.  She was a beautiful soul and it showed in her outer beauty as well.  If you were lucky enough to have her as a friend, you were lucky as she was a true gem. Linda loved those close to her with all her heart.  She brought sunshine and love to so many that were lucky enough to be part of her inner circle.

Linda was born in Detroit and met David, the love of her life, through Alcoholics Anonymous. Helping others and the 12 steps were very important to Linda and David. She would have celebrated her 49th year sober this year, which was something she was very proud of.  She and her husband kept their loved ones close while enjoying and cherishing their group of family and the hearts of friends.  Linda and her husband created a full life of many adventures, even owning a cactus business while both worked full time. She worked and retired from Michigan Bell and after retirement enjoyed working with animals at a veterinary office.  She and David both had a love for animals and cherished their pets, who were like children for them.

Linda’s days were spent outside; she loved nothing more than to jump on her lawnmower and mow for hours and days.  Her love for the outdoors showed in the beauty that she and David created inside and outside the remodeled farmhouse. Their home was gorgeous with both of their special touches everywhere.

After a turn for the worse in health, Linda spent a short stay at Glen Abbey in Canton where she passed peacefully surrounded by family who loved her very much.  She is now in her forever home, and with her beloved husband David, is watching down over us with love. Linda will be missed and memories of her treasured.
