Her Legacy… Linda June Melnick, 82, passed away March 14, 2023.  She was born on October 29, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan to James Schuler and June (Herr) Schuler. Linda married the love of her life, Barry Melnick, on October 13, 1960, in Berkley, Michigan. Linda spent her grade school years in Panama with her family while her father worked as an electrician there. Linda was a graduate of Berkley High School and spent 2 years at Wayne State University. Linda worked for some time with her husband Barry, and later worked for Hallmark, but her #1 job in life was being an amazing mother to her children and a fantastic wife. She was a loving grandmother and a treasured friend. Linda was very artistically inclined, and loved to use a liberal amount of sparkles in her crafts. She wintered in Myrtle Beach with her husband Barry and had many friends there. Linda and Barry lived in Pinckney for the last 20 years on Whispering Pines Golf Club and enjoyed it there. Linda was very dear to her family and will be deeply missed.

Her Family… Linda will be missed by her husband, Barry Melnick; her children, Jon (Cami) Melnick, Richard (Danaë) Melnick, Brett (Lisa) Melnick, Nicole (Wade) Langdon; brother, Craig Schuler; grandchildren, Timothy, Julia, Katherine, Morgan, Zachary, Nicholas, Ashley (Nicholas), Kyle (Allie), Kelsey, Hailey, Lindsey, Dylan, Max; nieces, Ann and Kristen. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and June; step-mother, Alma Schuler; and precious great-grandchildren, Bryson and Baker.

Her Farewell… Linda’s family and friends will gather Friday, March 17, 2023, from 4PM-8PM, at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. Her Community Farewell will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 11:00AM (10AM gathering), at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. Reverend Bill Donahue will serve as celebrant.
