His Legacy… Louis Newton Waldock Sr., age 86, passed away April 30, 2022. He was born on October 10, 1935, in Detroit, MI to Dominic and Ruby (Powers) Waldock. Louis married the love of his life, Mary Louise Murdock, on June 27, 1953 in Livonia, MI. He was a firefighter for the Livonia Fire Department. Louis was a master builder and the owner of Waldock Building. In his spare time, he enjoyed putzing around and working with antique furniture. Louis liked spending time at the family cottage and jet skiing on the lake. Later in life, Louis and Mary Lou were snowbirds and traveled down to Florida in the winter. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Louis will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
His Family… Louis leaves behind his wife, Mary Lou; children, Louis, David (Kathy), Susan (Wade), Lisa (Linda); grandchildren, Heather, Daniel, Andrea, Aubrey, Laura, Kevin, Brian; and great grandchildren, David, Liam, Rory, and Lillian. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Bob.
His Farewell… Louis’s family and friends will gather on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 5-7PM with a rosary at 7PM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2099 N. Hacker Road, Howell, MI 48855. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at (10AM gathering) 11AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Louis will be laid to rest at St. Patrick Calvary Cemetery in Brighton, MI. Bishop Steven J. Raica will serve as celebrant and Father Francis George as presider. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Meals on Wheels in Livingston County.
