His Legacy… Lynn Frederic Saunders, 83, passed away April 16, 2026. He was born on January 16, 1943, in Wayne, Michigan to Robert and Margaret (Staley) Saunders. Lynn married the love of his life, Kathy Carpenter, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Lynn was an avid golfer throughout his life, he felt most at home on the course. The game brought him not only personal fulfillment but also lifelong friendships. He was a member in both the Michigan Professional Golf Association (MPGA) and the Golf Association of Michigan. He was also a member of the Lakelands Golf Country Club. Professionally, Lynn dedicated 43 years to General Motors as an electrical engineer. His work ethic, intelligence, and integrity defined his career. He will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to his family, his love for golf, and the quiet strength with which he lived his life. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy will endure in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.  

His Family… Lynn will be missed by his children; Jeffrey Saunders, stepdaughter Melissa (Eric) Ekholm; brother Robert Saunders; grandchildren, Nathan and Joslynn Saunders, Drake and Aria Ekholm, Amanda, Christian and Miles Katchorek. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Margaret Saunders, Sally Saller, and stepdaughter Audra Katchorek.
