Her Legacy… Margaret Hill-Callahan, 64, passed away January 9, 2022. She was born on November 5, 1957, in Knoxville, Tennessee to James Hill and Alice Hendrix. Peg married the love of her life, Patrick Callahan, on June 7, 1975, in Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania.
Peg was a compassionate, caring and comforting woman. She was a cherished wife, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend.
She had many passions in her life as a public speaker, childbirth educator, midwife, clinical researcher, counselor, photographer, musician and human rights advocate.
She dedicated her life to helping those who needed it most and was the first person to go to for comfort, love and advice.
Peg was beautiful, funny and wise. She touched all she met with her warmth, grace and soothing voice.
Her Family… Peg will be missed by her husband, Patrick Callahan; her children, Brandon (Lindsey) Callahan, Jennifer (George) Fox; brother, Jim (Elizabeth) Hill; grandchildren, Evan Fox, Violet Fox; sister-in-law, Mary Anne (Dave) Rubisch, brothers-in-law, Tom (Dorota) Callahan, Gerald Skavery; dear friends, Lee (Joy) Fisher, Jane Myers, Kolya (Mark) Braun-Greiner, Rod (Lori) Kirk; Uncles, Skip Parsons, Tom (Sherry) Hendrix, Ray (Loretta) Hendrix; nieces and nephews, Irene Hill, Aurora Hill, Josh (Alicia) Fleming, Erin (John) Luce, Carissa (Christopher) Cunningham, Cassandra (Frank) Summers, Magda Callahan, Marta Callahan, Jason Skavery, Justin Skavery, Josiah Skavery, Chantelle Skavery; Peg was excited and grateful to be reunited with her Tennessee family in 2018. She is preceded in death by her cherished mother-in-law Marie Callahan, sister-in-law Theresa Skavery and dear friends Matt Mertz, Nancy McKay-Mertz and Aaron Kaufman.
