His Legacy… Mark Albert Ulmer, 68, passed away March 19, 2024.  He was born on January 3, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan to Ray Ulmer and Jean (Heaton) Ulmer. Mark married the love of his life, Dianne Mroz, on August 7, 1982 in Ypsilanti, Michigan.   He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather that cherished his family. Mark proudly served his country as an aircraft maintenance foreman with the US Army.  He loved watching the Lions and U of M football as well as seeing the Redwings play.  Mark loved coaching his daughter in softball and going to his granddaughter’s softball games.  Mark enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and fishing whenever possible.

His Family… Mark will be dearly missed by his wife of 42 years, Dianne Ulmer; his daughter, Laura (Mark) Thornton; sister, Mary Toth; grandchild, Emersyn; and several nephews and a niece. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Jean Ulmer.

His Farewell… Mark’s family and friends will gather for visitation from 2:00-5:00 PM on Monday, March 25, 2024, with a Memorial service at 5:00 PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Howell Memorial Chapel in Howell, Michigan. Doug McMunn will serve as Celebrant. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
