Her Legacy… Marlene Lucille Wilson, 84, passed away January 6, 2020. She was born on June 27, 1935, in Jackson, Michigan, to Daniel and Eva Mae (Swick) Berry. Marlene married the love of her life, Norman Laverne Wilson, on January 21, 1956, in Jackson, Michigan. She resided in Whitmore Lake for 60 years, and was a member of Shalom Lutheran Church. Marlene loved animals (especially dogs) and all kids, trap shooting, the Christmas holiday season, cooking, crafts, and decorating cakes. She was smart, strongly valued family, worked hard, creative, and loved challenges. Marlene was an Elvis enthusiast, and even performed as a clown.
Her Family… Marlene will be missed by her children, Michael (Mary) Wilson, Sheryl (Daniel) Yates, Steven Wilson, Teresa (John) Rittinger; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Norman Wilson; son, Joe Wilson; parents, Daniel and Eva Berry; siblings, Daniel Berry, William Berry, Myrtle Hunt, and Roberta Berry.
Her Farewell… Marlene’s family and friends will gather Thursday, January 9, 2020 6:00pm-8:00pm, Friday, January 10, 2020 2:00pm-4:00pm, 6:00pm-8:00pm, at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. Her Community Farewell will be held Saturday, January 11, 2020 11:00am (10:00am Gathering) at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to Meals on Wheels.
