Her Legacy… Marna Lee Knickerbocker, at age 80, went to be with her Lord Jesus on November 13, 2021. She was born on August 1, 1941, in Detroit, MI to Leonard and Arleen (Highe) Frye. Marna was a devoted wife of nearly 50 years to her best friend Bert “Louie”. She always wished she had done more for her family, but what she did, was to display a godly example of love and encouragement throughout the entire family! Marna’s strong faith in salvation through Jesus Christ was the bedrock foundation she raised her children on. Marna’s ceaseless strength and perseverance throughout life’s trials will live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew her.
Her Family… Marna leaves behind her 6 children, Lias Kass (Ray), Bert (Theresa), Robert (Lisa), Bret (Kim), Barry (Linda), Ben (Susan); 16 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Arleen; husband Bert; brother, Jay Frye; and sister, Kay Simpson.
Her Farewell… The viewing will be held on Friday, November 26, 2021 at 10:30AM at Borek Jennings Funeral Home 312 S. Michigan Ave, in the Lamb Chapel. The ceremony of Marna’s life celebration and Heaven sendoff will be held at 1:00PM. In lieu of flowers please consider making memorial contributions in Marna’s name to a charity of your choosing.
