Marvin Tobel Obituary

Tobel, Marvin

Brighton, Michigan

His Legacy…  Marvin Orville Tobel, age 88, passed away May 19, 2023.  He was born on March 10, 1935 in Southfield, Michigan to Norman and Margaret (Johnson) Tobel.  Marvin married the love of his life, Joan Blair, on December 27, 1957 in Southfield, Michigan.  They spent over 65 wonderful years together.  Marvin was a loving husband, an excellent father, and an awesome brother.  He loved animals, especially his dogs, canning, gardening, hunting, and fishing.  He was a generous man who also loved his country, and served in the Korean War.  Upon his return home, he and his brother founded their construction company, Poured Brick Walls Inc., of which he was very proud. Most of all, Marvin loved his family. He adored his grandchildren, and was blessed enough to meet his family down to the fourth generation. He will be greatly missed.

His Family…  Marvin will be missed by his wife of 65 years, Joan; his children, Kim (Craig) Jackson, Julie (Paul) Petrik, Keith (Genine) Tobel, Scott (Tammie) Tobel, Jennifer Tobel, and Jaimie (Rich) Bayer; brother, Gary (Nancy) Tobel; grandchildren, Kristy, Lisa, Steve, Nick, Amanda, Jessica, Cody, Melissa, Matthew, Garrett, Gabrielle, Lacey, Lexey, Logan, Brooke, AJ, Alli, Kelsey, Kayla, Jake, Keely, and Hayden; great grandchildren, Anthony, Taylor, Shea, Lukas, Owen, Oliver, Alyssa, Drew, Mason, Elizabeth, Joselyn, Tori, Ma’ki, Joey, James, Ian, Ava, Luca, Carmela, Keri, and Charli; great-great grandchildren, Phoebe and Freya.  He is preceded in death by his brother, Charles, sister, Erma, and his parents, Norman and Margaret.
