Mary Chwalek

Her Legacy… Mary Esther Chwalek, 72, passed away September 15, 2023.  She was born on May 1, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan to Arthur E. Chwalek and Margeret E. Gilstrap. She will be remembered as a lover of the outdoors who had a passion for training horses. Mary had a deep love for animals and for her friends and family.  She was an accomplished painter and photographer. Mary was strong in her convictions yet loved to laugh at whatever the world could throw her way.  She was very optimistic and never gave up the good fight.  Mary was an inspiration to all and will be missed dearly by everyone that knew and loved her.

Her Family… Mary will be missed by her brother, Art Chwalek; nieces and nephews, Evan (Emily) Chwalek, Reid Chwalek, Maggie (Mike) Young; along with her many friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Margaret Chwalek.

Her Farewell… Mary’s family and friends will gather from 2:00-5:00PM on Thursday, September 21, 2023 with a Memorial Service at 4:30PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Howell Memorial Chapel.  Scott Runyon will serve as Celebrant.
