Her Legacy…Mary Jackowski, 58, passed away August 26, 2020.  She was born on November 22, 1961, in Bay City, Michigan to Norbert and Gwendolyn Rose VanWert. Mary married the love of her life, Jeff Jackowski, on May 27, 1989, in Bay City, Michigan. She will be remembered as a kind, compassionate and caring individual who loved her family very much. She was an incredibly strong and brave woman.  She enjoyed gardening and canning vegetables, she had a passion for stamping, loved Halloween, playing cards with friends and family and adored Boston Terriers. 

Her Family… Mary will be missed by her husband Jeff Jackowski; her children Aaron (Kaitlyn) Jackowski and Amy (Joseph) Scott; granddaughter, Lilah Jackowski; her sibilings Steven (Donna) VanWert, Jill (Robert) Scammahorn, Linda (Terry) Collier, and sister-in-law Joyce VanWert. She will also be missed by her “GrandPug” Odie and “GrandPup” Elsa.  She is preceded in death by her parents Norbert and Gwendolyn Rose VanWert-DeRosia, Step Father Leon DeRosia and brother Gary VanWert.  

Her Farewell… Mary’s family will gather privately on Sunday, August 30, 2020 from 2:00-8:00pm at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. Her Public Community Farewell will be held on Monday, August 31, 2020 with a 10:30am (9:30am gathering) Mass Of Christian Burial at St. Patrick Catholic Church 711 Ricket Road, Brighton Michigan. Fr. Joseph Campbell will serve as celebrant. Memorial contributions may be given to Gift of Life Michigan in her name.
