His Legacy… Maurizio Frank Adami, 68, passed away December 30, 2020. He was born on March 16, 1952, in Verona, Italy to Giulio Adami and Anna (Martini) Adami. His family moved to the United States when he was 3 years old. Chico was a member of the State Championship basketball team from All Saints High School in Detroit. The team won the 1968 Class C championship, with Chico playing center and forward. He graduated in the Class of 1970. He later went to college to receive his journeyman tool maker’s card. Chico married the love of his life, Deborah Frankowiak, on August 11, 1973, in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. They had met in high school and were married for 42 years. Chico’s career carried him for 35 years, as union member, in tool and die making in the manufacturing industry. He was a strong family man who understood the value of family gatherings. Chico was a great cook and loved to share a meal and the company of others. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and enjoyed making people laugh. Chico loved to travel especially to Disney World, and Las Vegas. He was a big sports fan and an ardent MSU Spartans fan. As a lifelong Catholic, Chico was active in his church. He was witty, caring, and compassionate. He loved dogs, and being around people, cracking jokes, and spending time with his family. As a devoted husband, and beloved father, Chico will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
His Family… Chico will be missed by his daughter, Amy (Aaron) Aumock; siblings, Leo Adami and Rita Tarducci; mother-in-law, Regina Frankowiak; sister-in-law, Karen Frankowiak; and many nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Deborah Adami and his parents, Giulio and Anna Adami.
His Farewell… Chico’s family and friends will gather at a time and date to be determined St. Joseph Catholic Church in Howell, Michigan. Fr. Gary Koenigsknecht will serve as celebrant. Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to family for future designation.
