Michael Robert Baker

His Legacy… Michael Robert Baker, age 56, passed away January 10, 2022. He was born on September 15, 1965, in Toledo, Ohio to Robert and Elizabeth (Glickert) Baker. Michael married the love of his life, Sherry Macpherson, on May 9, 1992 in Perrysburg, OH. While in college, he was an All-American wrestler. Michael was an Ohio State University and Detroit Lions fan. He was an Eagle Scout, and the Scout Master for Boy Scout Troop #364. Michael was highly involved in the First United Methodist Church men’s group in Howell. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

His Family… Michael leaves behind his wife, Sherry; children, Zachary Michael Baker and Abigail Elizabeth Baker; parents, Robert and Elizabeth; sister, Kristin (Jeffry)Swartz; nephew, Benjamin (Miranda) Swartz and son, Eli; nieces, Kate (Brandon) Payeff and Rebekah Swartz; aunts, Jan Baker, Susan Wade; and uncle, Scott Wade. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Irene Glickert, and Joseph and Mary Baker.

His Farewell… Michael’s Community Farewell will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 11:30AM at First United Methodist Church in Howell, MI with a gathering beginning at 9:30AM until the time of service. Memorial contributions are suggested to Abigail Baker for college education, First United Methodist Church in Howell, and the National MS Society.
