His Legacy… Michael Charles Kowalski, 85, passed away on March 9, 2026. He was born on December 31, 1940, in Wyandotte, Michigan, to Chester Kowalski and Alice (Grahl) Kowalski. Michael married the love of his life, Elizabeth Sebuck, on June 24, 1967, in Detroit, Michigan. Their marriage was a lasting testament to love, faith, and devotion. Michael will be remembered for his strong faith, his generous heart, and his wonderful sense of humor. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing baseball, which sparked a lifelong love of sports and made him a devoted fan of Detroit’s professional teams.

He was an active member of St. Augustine Catholic Church for more than 30 years, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of American Legion Post 141.

Michael also found great peace in the outdoors and cherished time spent in nature while hunting, fishing and gardening. Above all, he deeply loved his family and shared a special bond with his grandchildren, who brought him immense joy. His faith, kindness, and dedication to family and community will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
