Michael McMann Sr.

His Legacy…Michael McMann Sr, 66, passed away July 4, 2022.  He was born on April 10, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan to Eleanor (Hoye) McMann and Harry McMann, and raised by Hershel Killebrew. Michael married the love of his life, Brenda, on August 20, 2011 in Hamburg.  Michael will be remembered as a generous man who was a jack of all trades and often a jokester, once telling someone the best way to get rid of poison ivy was to put bleach on it (don’t try it!).  He worked as a truck driver, a tow truck driver, and laid asphalt.  Among his many charitable contributions he started the local “Ride to Remember,” raising awareness for POW-MIAs and their families.  He also participated in many food or clothing drives, and Mason-sponsored pancake breakfasts and spaghetti dinners.

His Family… Michael will be missed by his father Hershel; his children  Melissa McMann, Michael McMann Jr, Stewart McMann, Crystal McMann, Chasity Allen (D.J.), Laurenn McMann, Thomas McMann (Amie), Zachary McMann (Erica), Nicholas McMann; 21 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, lots of siblings, nieces, nephews and other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother Eleanor, wife Brenda, two grandchildren, and three siblings.

His Farewell… Michael’s family and friends will gather on Monday, July 11 from 3-8 PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Lamb Chapel, Michigan. His Community Farewell will be held on Tuesday, July 12 at 12 PM (gathering (11 AM).
