Her Legacy… Mildred Shankle, 82, passed away November 23, 2021. She was born on December 4, 1938, in Washington, Georgia to William Howard Taft Davis and Lela Jane (Davenport) Davis.

Mildred (Davis) Shankle (Milly) married the love of her life, John Thomas Shankle, on March 5, 1954 in Mialuka Mississippi.

She will always be remembered as ….”Lady”, anyone that knew her knew she was a lady, a beauty queen that poised herself with grace and respect.

She loved God, and taught her grandchildren to do the right thing, that God was always watching over us.

She was Johnny’s right hand in Shankle Motor Sales dealership helping him to acquire cars and supporting all that was needed to run the dealership, even down to the book keeping. She also co-wrote music with Johnny, and truly felt a love for music. She also loved gardening, she was a fantastic cook and loved to bake and was definitely known for her German chocolate cakes.The dedication and love for her family was unlimited and “all” meant everything to her. Her outstanding love and dedication for her “mother and father” was so tender and kind. There was nothing you could ask that was too much to ask of her. God truly gained an angel with “Our Lady” We will miss you Gran, we are proud to call you Mother and Gran, Sister, Friend.

Her Family… Mildred will be missed by her children, Olivia Darlene Clark-Bentley (Richard Bentley) and Renee Yvonne Bingham-Kelley (Nicholas Kelley); grandchildren, Stevenell Jonathan Clark, Stephanie Danielle Clark,

Donald Lee Bingham II (Angel); great grandchildren Joseph Taylor & Emma Ayanna Clark, Abigail Jessamyn Clark, Ava Addison Bingham-Thomas, Blake Matthew Bingham, Landon Trenity Klenn, Skylar Rae McGowan and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband John Thomas Shankle (deceased 10/2007) and grandson Dustin Blake Bingham.
