Mildred "Sherry" Mohr, died on March 12, 2023, just a few weeks after receiving an unexpected and aggressive cancer diagnosis. She was born on November 28, 1941, in Long Branch, New Jersey to Charles Frederic Albert Jr. and Mildred Barteaux Sherwood. She married the love of her life, Arthur W. Mohr Sr, in Montclair, New Jersey, with whom she celebrated their 62nd Wedding Anniversary just before her passing.

A consummate wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Sherry was deeply devoted to her marriage and family. She was also an R.N., gifted computer programmer, bookkeeper, master gardener, cook, knitter, crocheter, jewelry maker, AA Supporter, and even pilot.  Yes, Pilot!  But what she treasured most was her ever growing faith in Jesus Christ, which she pondered best while tending her garden, and always with gratitude in her heart for the blessings given her.  (James 1:17) 

Sherry will be dearly missed by her husband, Arthur W. Mohr Sr; her children and their spouses, Art Jr. (Lori), Scott (Ann), Dawn (Frank); nine grandchildren, Corbin, Ryan, Brittany, Carly, Jillian, Lauren, Erika, Kendal and Carter; one great-granddaughter, Haisley, and a great-grandson whose birth she lovingly anticipated and by God’s grace may still witness from Heaven.  She will also be missed by extended relatives and friends with whom she shared life together, and her Oak Grove church family with whom she found a true spiritual home. 

A time to honor Sherry’s life and legacy will be held on Thursday, March 23rd, with Visitation from 11:00 – 12:00 pm, Memorial Service immediately following at Oak Grove United Methodist Church, 6686 Oak Grove Rd, Howell, MI, with Rev. Marianne McMunn and Rev. Dawn Bodi officiating. A light lunch will be held at the church for family and out of town guests upon Service conclusion.
