Patricia Korody Obituary

Korody, Patricia

Northville, MI

Her Legacy… Patricia Ann Korody, 88, passed away June 30, 2026.  She was born on June 29, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan to Donald Fitzpatrick and Adeline (Blaskay) Fitzpatrick. Pat married the love of her life, George Korody, on February 25, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan. Pat was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was very involved in her children’s activities and was always “room mom” for all of her children at their school. Pat and George had a large garden dedicated to strawberries on their property. She loved having fresh strawberries for breakfast every day. Pat was a representative with Avon for 30 years and in the President’s Club for many of those years. She also enjoyed participating in the Ford Amateur Astronomy Club where she and George were members. She was presented with the Club’s Sirius Award for her exceptional contributions and support to the club. She loved anything to do with aliens. Pat enjoyed crafting and sewed a lot of her children’s clothes. She was an active participant with her daughters, family members and friends in “Craft-a-Ganza,” an event that was held twice a year at Somerset Beach Campground where many crafts and wonderful memories were made. Pat loved garage sales, flea markets and shopping for Christmas. She was incredibly thoughtful and giving; she gave with her whole heart and always saw the best in everyone. Pat was fiercely loyal to her family and friends and treated everyone with respect. Pat was a joy to know, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her Family… Pat will be missed by her husband of 70 years, George Korody; her children, Mark (Rachel) Korody, Linda Harrison, Pamela (Anthony) Racchi, Donald Korody; grandchildren, Amanda (Brandon) Shepherd, Nicholas (Chrissy) Korody, Cameron (Angela) Korody, Michael (Emily) Harrison; Ian (Alanna) Harrison; and nine great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Adeline Fitzpatrick; son-in-law, Cliff Harrison; and daughter-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Brueck.
