Peggy Sue Meade

Her Legacy… Peggy Sue Meade, 83, passed away March 7, 2021.  She was born on May 23, 1937, in Amba, Kentucky to William Sturgill and Rachel (Shepherd) Sturgill. Peggy married the love of her life, John Meade Jr., on July 2, 1950, in Pikeville, Kentucky. She will be remembered as a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  Peggy lived for her family.  Her kids and grandchildren were her life.  She was very smart and was self-taught with everything she did.  Peggy loved to sit and read the bible, enjoyed sewing and was an amazing cook.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her Family… Peggy will be missed by her children, William Boyd (Lorraine) Meade, Agnes Gail (Walter) Sannes; grandchildren, Lynn (Dan) Ratliff, Stephanie Meade, Jeremy Meade, Lori (Ryan) Bost, Jared (Betsy) Meade, Leah ( Don) Walters, Patricia ( Roger) Chinault, Charity Meade, Benjamin ( Pamela) Sannes, Spencer Meade; 23 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sisters, Norma (Fred) Deckert and Marty Ondrus. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Meade Jr.; son, Jerry Meade; parents, William and Rachel Sturgill; sisters, Ann Granger, Dorothy Howell; great grandchildren, Meghan, Marisa.

Her Farewell… Peggy’s family and friends will gather Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 11:00am (10:00am gathering) at the Bible Tabernacle Church, 15800 Graves Road, Gregory, Michigan 48137.  Dan Ratliff will serve as celebrant.
