His Legacy… Peter Jesus Perez, 72, passed away September 12, 2025.  He was born on December 2, 1952, in Sandusky, Michigan to Antonio Perez and Bacilia (Lara) Perez. Peter married the love of his life, Anne Marie (Trudell) Perez on September 3rd, 1982, in Marine City, Michigan. Peter will be remembered as a loving husband, loving father, loving friend, and skilled musician. Peter loved acoustic 70’s music, writing his own songs, and knew how to play the acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and banjo. Peter worked as a police officer for Washtenaw County for over 20 years. Faith was important to Peter, and he enjoyed St. Patrick’s men’s night.

His Family… Peter will be missed by his wife, Anne Perez; his children, Andrew and Angelina Perez; sisters, Guadalupe “Lupe”, Manuela, Theresa, and Jane; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Bacilia Perez; brothers, John, Carl, Anthony; and sister Josie.

His Farewell… Peter’s family and friends will gather 4:00PM – 8:00 PM Wednesday September 17, at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM (9:30 AM visitation) Thursday September 18th, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 711 Rickett Road, Brighton, MI. Fr. Joshua Fons will serve as celebrant.
