His Legacy… Philip Rashid, 70, passed away December 30, 2020. He was born on February 14, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan to Philip Rashid and Georgia (Backus) Rashid. Philip married the love of his life, Tina (Sutton) Rashid, on July 18, 1981, in Royal Oak, Michigan. He loved boating, being on the water he felt at peace, family cooking/gatherings, and building his family business.
Tina met the love of her life as a young lady when he came with his father to do work on her parent’s home. After 2 years of courting Tina and her family, they married and built a beautiful family with 6 children and moved to “La La Land” aka Milford. Phil was not just a builder of family, but of the community of Milford. He contributed his skills and talent to many individuals and businesses. When Phil saw something that needed to be done, he got it done! “Where there’s a Phil, there’s a way” he would always say.
We have been blessed beyond belief by family and friends. The outpouring of love and support is overwhelming. Thank you and God Bless you all. ~ The Rashid Family
