His Legacy…Philip Marvin Toney, 75, passed away February 8, 2021.  He was born on May 26, 1945, in Atlanta, Georgia to Charles Dillard Toney Jr and Annie Laura (Phillips) Toney. He will be remembered as a loving and caring family man and friend. He had a long and successful career at Chrysler which he enjoyed very much, a great pastime of his was rebuilding engines and working on projects.  When Philip was not working he loved being outside, whether it be out in the backyard, sailing on the water, riding his motorcycle or taking his Jeep off-roading. He also loved animals especially his cats Chester, Popcorn and Toshi.

His Family… Philip will be missed by his children, Melissa (James ) Love and Craig Toney; his sister Nancy Upshaw; grandchildren Ryenne Piatt-Toney, Mackenzie Banks-Toney, Jaylen Purgiel, Charles Love; great-granddaughter Macklynn Ann Lethig and cousin Peggy Fitts. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Annie (Phillips) Toney and brother Charles Toney III.

His Farewell… Philip’s family and friends will gather for a Community Farewell on Monday, February 15, 2021 from 2:00pm to 8:00pm at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel.
