Her Legacy… Phyllis Jean Densmore, 88, passed away peacefully at home July 15, 2022. She was born on April 14, 1934, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Erwin Cornell and Josephine (Hayden) Cornell. Phyllis married the love of her life, Reynolds E. Densmore on July 11, 1953, at St. Andrew Episcopal Church in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Phyllis was a member of the 10 W women’s firefighter team and a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Howell. Her husband Reynolds was a member of Bennett’s Beavers, and Phyllis was one of the wives who would cook lunch for the men. Her hobbies included birdwatching, puzzles, and traveling. She especially enjoyed traveling to Mackinac, Frankenmuth, and visiting her son and his family in Georgia. Phyllis was well-loved and respected, and made friends easily with her caring nature. She will be greatly missed.
Her Family… Phyllis will be missed by her children, Rebecca (Ronnie) Deskins, Karen (Steven) Munn, Sandra (Robert) Madden, (Ed) Reynolds E. III (Allison) Densmore, Steven W. (Kelly) Densmore; sister Evelyn Hutchins; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Reynolds E., her parents, siblings, and nephew.
Her Farewell… Phyllis’s family and friends will gather on Friday, July 22, 2022 from 3:00pm – 8:00pm at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg, Michigan with a Rosary at 7:30pm. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 1:30pm (12:30pm gathering) at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Howell, Michigan. Father Gary Koenigsknecht will serve as celebrant.
