Prudence Ilene (Robinson) Dreffs

Her Legacy… Prudence Ilene Dreffs, 85, passed away October 10, 2020.  She was born on September 22, 1935, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Dale Robinson and Verna (Courtney) Robinson. Prudy married the love of her life, Cyril (Cy) Dreffs, on July 6, 1957, in Brighton, Michigan. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a loyal daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt and godmother. Prudy was always active in her sons lives, volunteering as a Den Mother and involved in her sons various activities. She was in love with her husband her entire life and never left his side throughout their time together, they often enjoyed going on long car rides and vacationing. She was a private person in many regards but always made the most of the time she spent with her friends and family. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and always had their best interest in mind. Prudy had many hobbies she enjoyed such as crocheting, crafting, bowling, boating and in her earlier years remodeling homes to either rent or sell. She adored collecting bells for most of her life and has over 1000 in her collection.  She loved animals and enjoyed spoiling her two her cats Sunny and Baby to no end. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her Family… Prudy will be missed by her children, Chris (Sheri) Dreffs; grandchildren Joel Steiger, and Alyssa Dreffs; great grandchildren Skylar and Jagger; as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Dale and Verna Robinson, husband Cyril A Dreffs, son Dale Dreffs and sister Dalene Robinson.

Her Farewell… Prudy’s family and friends will gather Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 4-8pm (Rosary 6pm) at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. Her community farewell will be held on Thursday October 15, 2020 at 11:00am (10:00am gathering) for her Mass of Christian Burial at Old St. Patrick Catholic Church, 5671 Whitmore Lake Road, Ann Arbor.  Father Tom Wasilewski will serve as celebrant, burial to follow at Old St. Patrick Cemetery.
