His Legacy… Raymond Richard Moomaw, 80, passed away May 6, 2020. He was born on September 17, 1939, in Wixom, Michigan to David William Moomaw and Bertha May (Rucker) Moomaw. Raymond married the love of his life, Audry May (Sudman) Moomaw, on October 18, 1973, in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He will be remembered for being a hard worker all his life. He was dedicated to his wife, family, and job at General Motors. Raymond loved out loud. His love for people was always expressed including coaching many men’s leagues and children’s teams. Going up north to their cottage, taking care of his lawn, watching The Duke, and enjoying good food were favorite ways he spent his time. Most of all, his love for his family and time spent with them by far meant everything to him. He will be deeply missed.
His Family… Raymond will be missed by his children, Nicole (David) Hatfield, Loreen Bean, Denise (Arthur) Novack, Tammy (Robert) Moomaw, Jeffrey (Paul) Bean, Jodi (Andrew) Plackowski, and Tonya (Larry) Olin; sister, Nancy (Robert) Horn; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Audry Moomaw; his parents; and 8 siblings.
His Farewell… Raymond’s family will gather Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel for his celebration of life. Rev. Bill Donahue will serve as celebrant.
