Regina Frankowiak Obituary

Frankowiak, Regina

Howell, Michigan

Her Legacy… Regina Grace Frankowiak, age 88, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026. She was born on October 28, 1937, in DuBois, Pennsylvania, to Theodore Misko and Viola (Dunn) Misko.

Regina married the love of her life, Robert Frankowiak, on June 12, 1953, in Hamtramck, Michigan. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and service to others. Regina will be remembered for her deep devotion to her family and her unwavering faith. Family was always her highest priority, and she found great joy in hosting gatherings and having thoughtful gifts for each of her children, grandchildren, and nieces. Christmas was her favorite time of year, a season she filled with warmth, tradition, and love. A woman of many talents, Regina enjoyed playing the piano, crocheting, and caring for her animals. Over the years, she lovingly tended to a variety of animals, each holding a special place in her heart. She was also an enthusiastic sports fan, especially devoted to Michigan State and Detroit Tigers baseball, and she delighted in friendly debates over which team was best. Regina and her husband, Robert, shared a passion for giving back to their community. They spent many meaningful hours volunteering together at the Howell Senior Center, forming lasting friendships and touching many lives. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Her Family… Regina will be missed by her daughter in law, Karen Frankowiak; siblings, Sherry (Bill) Watkins; sister-in-law, Sally Misko; grandchildren Amy (Aaron) Aumock, Robert (Brittani) Frankowiak III, Andrew (Kelly) Frankowiak; great grandchildren, Riv, Charles, Lillian, Kensie, Callen; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Frankowiak; children, Deborah (Maurizio) Adami, Dr. Robert Frankowiak Jr.; parents, Theodore and Viola Misko; siblings, Todd Misko, Mary (Roger) DeClercq.
