Lockridge, Richard “Rich”
Brighton, Michigan
We regret to announce the passing of Richard Lockridge, 75 of Brighton, MI, on Jan 5th after a valiant battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Richard passed peacefully, in his home, and surrounded by loved ones.
Richard was born July 23rd, 1945 to Bob and Jean Lockridge in Detroit Michigan. After graduating from Farmington High School, Richard joined the Army and bravely served his Country overseas. He continued his service as a member of the VFW in Brighton. He also served as a member of the local Honor Guard.
After honorably completing his term of service, Richard came home to marry his true love Linda (McBride) Lockridge. Richard and Linda wed in 1969, going on to have two children, Tanya and Eric.
Richard and Linda enjoyed 51 years of marriage.
Richard was also the proud father-in-law to Matt Mazurek and Karen (Wilson) Lockridge, and the proud Grandfather of 5: Sarah, James, Ashley, Evan and Alexa.
Richard had a love for Classic Cars and was happiest with a wrench in his hand or when cruising the open road with Linda and friends. He was a member of the Classic Legends Car Club.
Richard could best be described as an honest, kind, patriotic and prideful man who loved to laugh and loved his family above all else. He will be so dearly missed but remembered so fondly by those who had the pleasure of being a part of his life.
