Robert Beitel

His Legacy… Robert James Beitel, 81, passed away June 24, 2020.  He was born on June 23, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan to William John Beitel and Elin (Sundin) Beitel. Robert married the love of his life, Judy (Froehlich) Beitel, on February 19, 1959, in Pinckney, Michigan.   He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He was always a jokester and liked making people smile.  Robert enjoyed gardening, especially tomatoes and pumpkins, and amateur radio.  He was a city boy turned outdoorsman.  After retirement his passion for the “UP” drew him up there half the year to hunt and enjoy God’s creations.  He loved his family dearly and took great delight in his grandchildren.  Robert is going to be deeply missed. 

His Family… Robert will be missed by his wife; Judy Beitel; his children, Cheryl (Lawrence) Wickliffe, Robert James Jr. (Colette) Beitel, Susan (Shawn) Henderlong, John (Wendy) Beitel; siblings, Ronald Beitel, William (Pat) Beitel, Regina (Stanley) Blitz; grandchildren, David, Matthew, JoAnna, Erica, Andrea, Nicholas, Jacob, Regan; great grandchildren, Abigail, Karissa, Blake, Sadie; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Elin Beitel.

His Farewell… Robert’s family and friends will gather Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at 10:30am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am, Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church, 9565 Musch Road, Brighton, Michigan.  Father John Rocus will serve as celebrant.
