His Legacy…Robert Christopher Hubbard Jr.,65, passed away May 27, 2022. He was born on May 2, 1957, in Royal Oak, Michigan to Robert Christopher Hubbard Sr. and Shirley Ann (Behnke) Hubbard. Bob married the love of his life, LeeAnn York, on January 21, 1978, in Hamburg, Michigan. Bob was a machinist at Technicolor Videocassette of Michigan before retiring after 35 years. Bob enjoyed many different activities and belonged to many different clubs. He was a longtime member of N-SSA, a lifetime member of Whitmore Lake Road & Gun Club, a founding member of both the ACWSA of Michigan and Lake Shore High School Trap Team, which he also coached. He was also a member of Blue Water Sportsmen Association and Richmond Sportsman’s Club. Bob was an avid sportsman & waterfowl hunter. Bob was always building something, but was also “the master of unfinished projects.” He was a lifelong historian, and would share his knowledge with anyone who would listen. He was a proud grandfather, a hard working family man who was dedicated to his wife and children. Bob was a very giving man and was a Gift of Life donor. Bob will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
His Family… Bob will be missed by his wife, LeeAnn Hubbard; his children, Christopher (Amanda) Hubbard, Rhonda (Cody) Smiley; mother, Shirley Ann Hubbard; siblings, Karen (Chuck) Helmkamp, Susan (Scott) Crawford, Paul East; grandchildren, Carter Smiley, Lillian Smiley, Emily Hubbard, Christopher Hubbard Jr., Alexander Bonser, Sierra Bonser, Lauren Bonser, Elizabeth Bonser; Uncle Lavern (Dorothy) Behnke; and his faithful companion Bogie. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Christopher Hubbard Sr. and sister, Colleen East.
His Farewell… His Community Farewell will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at 1:00PM, at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel, with a gathering of family and friends starting at 11:00AM. Reverend Bill Donahue will serve as celebrant. Memorial contributions may be given to family for future designation.
