His Legacy… Robert Marvin Nakon, 82, passed away on May 4, 2026. He was born on February 11, 1944, in Hamtramck, Michigan to Walter and Regina (Zieja) Nakon. Robert married the love of his life, Denise Reh, on August 29, 1980, in Hamburg, Michigan. Bob was born and raised in Hamtramck, Michigan, he carried his roots with pride throughout his life. A proud “Pollock,” he embraced his heritage with a sense of humor and identity that endeared him to everyone who knew him. In 1969, he moved from Detroit to Brighton, Michigan, where he made a home on Ore Lake and created countless memories with family and friends. In 2000, he settled in Pinckney, Michigan, where he continued to enjoy life surrounded by those he loved. He was a man who loved working with his hands, fixing his tractors and building computers. He found joy in solving problems and bringing things back to life. If something was broken, he was the one everyone called, and he never hesitated to help. Above all, he was a great father. His love, guidance, and steady presence shaped the lives of his children, and his sense of humor brought laughter into every room he entered. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience. He was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
His Family… Bob will be missed by his Wife; Denise Nakon; his children Randy Nakon, Scott (Anne) Nakon, Keith (Lori) Nakon and Jim (Gerri) Cash; grandchildren; Sam, Max, Ben, and Will Nakon. He is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Regina Nakon, his first wife Donna Scoval and sister Sandy Kowalchik.
