His Legacy… Robert James Richards Jr., age 29, passed away September 25, 2021.  He was born on  
May 6, 1992, in Ann Arbor, MI to Robert Richards Sr. and Karen Hayner-Richards.  Robert 
 will be remembered as being outgoing, hard working and exceptionally generous. Robert always 
made himself available to help anyone; family, friends or strangers.  He was working at  
Mark’s Auto in Dexter where he’d been employed since he was 14. While he loved working on 
cars, he truly was a jack of all trades. Robert also loved cooking and the outdoors, especially 
hunting and fishing. He will be treasured and missed by all who knew and loved him.

His  Family… Robert leaves behind his mother, Karen Hayner-Richards; and sister, Kimberly  
Richards. He is also survived by his aunts: Kitty Hayner-Richards & Betty Lee; uncles: David L. 
Richards & Danny Richards; and numerous dear cousins. Special mention of countless friends he 
considered family as well. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Richards Sr.; 
grandparents: Harold & Ruby Hayner, David & Gladys Richards; and uncle Claude Richards.

His Farewell… Robert’s family and friends will gather on Friday, Oct.1st from 3- 8 at Borek 
Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. His Community Farewell will be held on Oct. 2 at 11am at 
Green Oak Methodist Church with a gathering beginning at 10 until the time of service.  Pastor  
Doug  McGeorge will serve as celebrant.  Memorial contributions are suggested to The   
Family for Future designation or Memorial contributions may be given to family for future
