Robert Orville Russell, 88, of Whitmore Lake passed on of natural causes and went to be with the Lord on February 10th, surrounded by his family and loved ones. Bob grew up in Barnesville, Ohio with his brother, two sisters and beloved mother. After graduating from Brighton High School in 1951, he went on to study at Cleary College. He worked at Johnson Controls as The Chief Tooling Engineer retiring at the age of 62. He was a follower of Jesus Christ and a member of the Chilson Hills Church for many years. Bob will be dearly missed and always remembered.
Bob was predeceased by his mother Ruth Wright, his first wife Joan Dorothy Russell, brother George Russell, his sisters Edna Snyder Larsen (Jerry) and Marjorie Field, his daughter Linda, son Bobby Jr. and son-in-law Wayne Bisard. He is survived by his beloved wife Nadine Louise Russell, daughters Sandra Salter (Thomas), Kathleen Bisard, Ellisha Greenfield, son Mark Cooper (Julie), many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bob had many hobbies that kept him entertained. Many mornings you would find him with a Wall Street journal in his hand or doing what he did best having fun day trading. He enjoyed an occasional round of golf and played on the famous Chilson Hills league. He and his wife spent their winters in Florida where he played horseshoes and they lounged on their porch and enjoyed many card games with friends. At night you could often find him watching Wheel of Fortune or possibly peering into his telescope looking for something in the sky. He had a few stories he could tell you about what is living out there. He also had a passion for politics and loved to debate on any topic. His favorite thing in the world was to be surrounded by family, using any occasion to do so
