Robert "Bob" Clark Obituary

His Legacy…Robert William Clark, 80, passed away on November 7, 2022.  “Bob,” as he was known, was born on March 31, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan to Joseph Clark and Margaret Cain. Bob married the love of his life, Andrea, on April 7, 1966 at Memorial Church of Christ in Detroit, Michigan.  Bob will be remembered as a person of strong faith who was well respected and held a high level of integrity. He graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in History and then earned his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Detroit. In addition to serving in the Navy, including deployment in Vietnam, Bob spent 33 years working for Ford Motor Company, where he thrived as the Director of Labor Affairs. Bob was an exceptional negotiator being well respected by those on both sides of the table. Even while spending long hours at work and serving on the Hartland School Board while the kids were in school, he always prioritized his home life, making space for family meals and all variety of school activities with his kids. After retirement, Bob balanced his time with consulting work, and as adjunct faculty at Madonna University, University of Detroit and Concordia University. In retirement, Bob and Andrea traveled extensively in the states and around the world to more than 60 countries. He also dedicated his time and heart in service at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church where he was an elder, taught a men’s Bible study, and was an example and mentor to many.
