His Legacy…Robert William Clark, 80, passed away on November 7, 2022. “Bob,” as he was known, was born on March 31, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan to Joseph Clark and Margaret Cain. Bob married the love of his life, Andrea, on April 7, 1966 at Memorial Church of Christ in Detroit, Michigan. Bob will be remembered as a person of strong faith who was well respected and held a high level of integrity. He graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in History and then earned his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Detroit. In addition to serving in the Navy, including deployment in Vietnam, Bob spent 33 years working for Ford Motor Company, where he thrived as the Director of Labor Affairs. Bob was an exceptional negotiator being well respected by those on both sides of the table. Even while spending long hours at work and serving on the Hartland School Board while the kids were in school, he always prioritized his home life, making space for family meals and all variety of school activities with his kids. After retirement, Bob balanced his time with consulting work, and as adjunct faculty at Madonna University, University of Detroit and Concordia University. In retirement, Bob and Andrea traveled extensively in the states and around the world to more than 60 countries. He also dedicated his time and heart in service at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church where he was an elder, taught a men’s Bible study, and was an example and mentor to many.
His Family… Bob will be missed by his wife Andrea; his children, Kent (Rebecca) Clark, Kyle (Crystal) Clark, and Lindsay (Kirt) Fiesbeck; brother Joseph (Janet) Clark; sister Jackie Callaghan; grandchildren, Rob, Max, Will, Betsy, Gabi, Abigail, Zoe; and great grandson Lihan. He is preceded in death by his parents.
His Farewell… Bob’s family and friends will gather from 3-8 PM on Friday, November 11, 2022 at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Howell Memorial Chapel, Howell, Michigan, and from 1-3 PM at Cornerstone Presbyterian on Saturday, November 12, 2022. His Community Farewell will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church. Pastor Chris Winans will serve as celebrant.
