His Legacy… Rodney Darrell Tanner, 74, passed away on January 20, 2026. He was born on November 25, 1951, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to George Tanner and Harriett (Smay) Tanner. Rodney was a Vietnam vet who was extremely driven and very competitive; he was someone who wanted to win no matter what. Rodney was a state champion in horseshoe’s; he loved music and watching the sunsets. Rodney also enjoyed playing baseball and many other sports. Rodney will be remembered as someone who lived life to the fullest no matter the situation. Rodney was loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
His Family… Rodney will be missed by his children; Jason and Kayleigh Tanner, Siblings; Phil and Star Tanner, Cheryl (Dave) Singer, and George (Debbie) Tanner, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents George and Harriet Tanner and brothers; Ron and Rick Tanner.
