His Legacy… Roger Paul Schroepfer, age 88, passed away May 31, 2023. He was born on May 28, 1935, in St. Paul, Minnesota to John and Martha (Franzwa) Schroepfer. Roger married his loving wife, Karen Shoner, on February 21, 1988, in Hawaii. He graduated Harding High School in St. Paul, Minnesota and became a mason contractor, eventually working his way to owning his own business. He retired after working in masonry for 42 years. Roger was a faithful, life-long Catholic, who never had a cross word for anyone, no matter what his trials may be. He was a kind, generous, and patient man who was a well-liked jokester and loved helping people. He enjoyed his Keno Stats, fishing, and boating. Most of all, Roger loved his family, and delighted in spending time with his grandkids. He will be greatly missed.
His Family… Roger will be missed by his wife Karen; his step-sons, Michael and Brandon Elder; grandchildren, John, Ryan, Hannah, Jenna, and Breanna; several great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his son John, daughter Linda, sister Mary, brothers Art and Tom, granddaughter Rachel, and his parents, John and Martha.
His Farewell… Roger’s family and friends will gather Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 2:00pm – 6:00pm at Borek Jennings Funeral home, Hamburg Chapel in Hamburg, Michigan. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 10:30am (9:30am gathering) at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Brighton, Michigan. Father Miguel Colunga will serve as celebrant.
