Ronald O. Collins

Ronald "Ron" Owen Collins was a caring husband, father, brother, and friend. He left this world suddenly Friday April 29, 2022 at age 56.

Ron was born to Charles and Gertrude (London) Collins in Howell, MI. He was raised on Ore Lake with his five siblings. After high school, he was proud to have worked at Woodbridge in Whitmore Lake for 20 years until the plant closed. Afterwards, he refined his trades skills working in various plants. In his free time, he enjoyed watching NASCAR and NFL. He found a love for the Michigan outdoors which included traveling to northern Michigan, Silver Lake Sand Dunes and kayaking. With his competitive nature, he dominated in corn hole, track ball, bowling and euchre. He was known for being a kid at heart and making friends wherever he went. He was very proud of everything he had, his accomplishments and his family. He will be unbelievably missed by all.

Ron is survived by his father Charles Collins; His wife Jodi Grumley-Collins; his children Shawna Collins, R.J. Collins, Ashley Collins, and his favorite Lucy, the dog; his stepchildren Anne (Joseph) Spinella and Taylor Jeude; His siblings Thomas (Cindy) Collins, Rhonda Collins, David (Kristin) Collins and brother-in-law Ted (Tina) Curry; His granddog Oslo. He was preceded in death by his mother Gertrude Collins, his siblings Charles Collins and Tina Curry.

Ron’s family and friends will gather Thursday May 5th from 1:00-4:00 pm with a Community Farewell at 4:00 pm at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Lamb Chapel in Howell, MI. Farewell dinner to follow at 5:30 PM at Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 141 Schroeder Park Dr., Howell, MI, 48843. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family to cover final expenses.
