His Legacy… Roy Douglas Atkins Jr., 55, passed away June 10, 2025. He was born on May 5, 1970, to Doug Atkins and Karen (Kaminski) Atkins. Doug was a heavy equipment mechanic and there was nothing that he couldn’t fix. He had a big heart and was always helping people and putting others before himself. Doug was very outgoing; always happy, and a wonderful, supportive friend. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. Doug will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
His Family… Doug will be missed by his children, Michael (Katie) Atkins, Christopher Roy Atkins; Jasmine Atkins; mother, Karen Andersen; brother, Thomas Edward (Jodie) Atkins; grandmother, Judy Kaminski; one grandchild on the way; niece Madisyn Atkins; nephew, Cooper Atkins. He is preceded in death by his father, Doug Atkins.
His Farewell… Doug’s family and friends will gather for a memorial service on Saturday, June 21 from 2:00-6:00 PM at the Pinckney American Legion at 9807 Whitewood Road, Pinckney, Michigan, 48169.
