His Legacy… Russell Allen Smith, 78, passed away peacefully at his home on November 25, 2019.  He was born on August 18, 1941 in Dearborn, Michigan to Robert Allan and Arline (Barkwell) Smith. Russ married the love of his life, Sandra Harper, on June 16, 1962 in Dearborn, Michigan   He will be remembered as a man that loved his family unconditionally and stayed very involved in their lives, traveling to visit his family in Colorado as much as possible. Russ proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He moved to Manchester in 1975 and was on the Manchester Planning Committee for many years. Russ was a lifelong member of the “Flying Clutchmen” from Dearborn and retired from ZF Industries.  Russ will be missed all who knew and loved him.

His Family… Russ will be missed by his wife of 57 years, Sandy; his children, Rob (Kris) Smith of Michigan and Jeff (Amber) Smith of Colorado; his sister, Sherrill (Dave) Striker, grandchildren Kylie, Zac, Alyssa and Olivia Smith; many nieces and nephews; and two cousins, Donna (Steve) Garbarino and Chuck Gaffney. He is preceded in death by his parents: Bob and Arline Smith.
