Ruth (Boyer) Dunlap, 81, of Whitmore Lake, Michigan passed away peacefully on January 30, 2021 at her daughter’s home in Desloge, Missouri. She was born May 6, 1939 in Irondale, Missouri to the late Kyle Boyer and Pinnie (Benoist) Boyer. Ruth lived most of her life in SE Michigan where her father ran an orchard. She married her husband, Marvin Dunlap from Bismarck in 1957 and lived in the family home they built with their 3 children. Marvin and Ruth flew all over the country in their antique airplane, an Ercoupe. She was the navigator and he the pilot. Family was the most important thing in their lives along with flyng.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 ½ years, Marvin L. Dunlap when he passed away on December 21, 2020; parents Kyle and Pinnie (Benoist) Boyer, one brother Marvin Richard Boyer and one great granddaughter Felicia Nicole Towles.
Ruth is survived by three children Sharon Towles of Desloge, Missouri; Tammey (Rodney) Ranger of Whitmore Lake, Michigan; and Lloyd (Shelli) Dunlap of Brighton, Michigan. 8 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother Donald (Cleta) Boyer of South Lyon, Michigan; Dorothy (Julian) Kampf of Xenia, Ohio; brother Marvin’s wife Alice (Feigl) Boyer of South Lyon, Michigan; along with many nieces and nephews.
