Her Legacy… Ruth Marie Hague, 94, passed away June 21, 2025. She was born on January 20, 1931, in Lakewood, Ohio to Roy Sauble and Gertrude (Travnikar) Sauble. Ruth married the love of her life, Robert Hague, on September 27, 1950, in Ohio. She spent her career as a buyer at GM, retiring after 31 years in 1991. Ruth loved life and was a social butterfly. She was a friend to all, a lover of animals, and she loved to make people happy. Ruth belonged to “Clowns for Christ”, a ministry that uses clowning to share the gospel and spread joy. She was also hired frequently to perform as a clown at children’s parties and as a face painter. Ruth was incredibly talented and creative, she made many beautiful paintings with oils, acrylics, and water color. She was also a wonderful singer and musician; she played different instruments, including the stumpf fiddle and she sang in the Hamburg Kitchen Band. Ruth loved to ride motorcycles, her and her late husband, Robert took a 10,000 mile motorcycle trip cross country for their honeymoon. She also spent 26 years riding with the Motor Maids of America motorcycle club. Ruth enjoyed placing her Buick LaSalle in car shows where it won many awards. She was very active and loved the outdoors. Ruth was very active at the Hamburg Senior Center where she had many friends. She lived every day to the fullest. Ruth will be greatly missed by her friends that adored her.
Her Family… Ruth will be missed by her close friends, Linda Kittel, Daniel (Denise) Bennett, and Sherri (Mike) Wisser. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hague; and parents, Roy and Gertrude Sauble.
Her Farewell… Ruth’s family and friends will gather Monday, June 30, 2025, from 10:00AM-11:00AM, at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. Her Community Farewell will follow at 11:00AM.
