Ruth Ilene Sprague

Her Legacy… Ruth Ilene Sprague, 86, passed away June 29, 2020.  She was born on November 18, 1933, in Ingersoll, Canada.  Ruth married the love of her life, David Lee Sprague, on June 1, 1963, in Ypsilanti, Michigan. She immigrated to the United States from Canada at the age of 14 and became a naturalized citizen by the time she was 20.  Ruth was very proud to be an American.  She worked for General Motors for 25 years until retirement.  Her love for David was special.  They were inseparable.  When he was ill, she devoted her time to take care of him during his final years.  Ruth was caring, selfless and loving.  Her grandchildren brought her lots of joy and she loved spending time with them and her children.  She will be missed deeply.

Her Family… Ruth will be missed by her children, Steven Michael (Cheryl) Sprague and David Alan (Michelle) Sprague; grandchildren, Allyson May Sprague and Jacob David Sprague. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband; David Lee Sprague, mother; Alice Emily Rogers, sisters; Catherine May Ziegler, Alice Elizabeth Insell.
