Her Legacy… Sandra Jane Collins, 85, passed away January 9, 2026.  She was born on August 3, 1940, in Springfield, Massachusetts, to Alfred Wade and Estelle (Zark) Wade. Sandy married the love of her life, Jim Collins, on October 3, 1959, in Wayne, Michigan. Sandy was very fun-loving and outgoing. She enjoyed bingo and playing the slot machines; she was naturally lucky. Sandy liked working with ceramics, and at one point taught ceramics classes. She was an avid Detroit Tigers and Red Wings fan. Sandy was athletic and enjoyed bowling, spending time in bowling leagues in her younger years. She was a huge supporter of her children’s sports as they were growing up. Sandy was an incredibly supportive and loving grandmother and great-grandmother; she loved nothing more than spending time with her beloved family. Sandy was deeply loved by her family and friends, and she will be greatly missed.

Her Family… Sandy will be missed by her husband, Jim Collins; her children, Scott Collins, Lee Ann (Peter) Amormino, Tim (Laura) Collins; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Estelle Wade; and sister, Gail Winekoff.
