Sarah Christine Reifschneider

Her Legacy… Sarah Christine Reifschneider, 71, passed away on May 2, 2026.  She was born on January 4, 1955, in Redford, Michigan to David and Dorothy (Sanders) Roberts. Sarah married the love of her life, John Reifschneider, on October 27, 1973, in Livonia, Michigan. Sarah will be remembered as someone who spent her life caring for others, a natural nurturer whose greatest joy came from looking after children and creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and love. As a grandmother, she was simply extraordinary her grandchildren were the light of her life and brought her endless pride and happiness. She was known for her vibrant spirit and big personality, she left an unforgettable impression on everyone she met. She was the kind of friend who could always be counted on loyal, fun-loving, and full of life. Her home, lovingly known as “Yammie’s and Pa’s house,” was a gathering place where she cooked many meals for everyone. She especially loved yard sales, antiquing and casinos. She was a wonderful friend to so many. She was deeply loved by her family and will be greatly missed.

Her Family… Sarah will be missed by her husband John Reifschneider; her children; Elizabeth (Arnold) Morris, Michelle (Aaron) Parker, John (Jennifer) Reifschneider and Jason (Rachel) Reifschneider; siblings; Patricia (Doug) Braidwood, Mike Roberts, Rob (Brenda) Roberts, GF (Penny) Roberts, Catherine (Doug) Neal, Brenda Jasper and Linda Serdell; 24 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents David Angelo and Dorothy Roberts.

Her Farewell… Sarah’s family and friends will gather Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 4:00PM-8:00PM with a Rosary at 6:00PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Homes, Hamburg, Michigan. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 11:00AM (10:00AM gathering) at St. Mary Catholic Church in Pinckney. Father Tyler Arens will serve as celebrant.
