Sean Patrick Egan

His Legacy… Sean Patrick Egan, 21, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on April 23, 2025.  He was born on April 29, 2003, in Dearborn, Michigan to Patrick and Carla (Kesseler) Egan. Sean was the eldest with three siblings. He graduated in 2021 from Detroit Catholic Central High School where he was on the swim team, made life-long friendships at CC and also enjoyed playing travel baseball. 
He went on to Michigan State University in Eli Broad Business College graduating with a Finance major. He also pursued an Information Technology minor and Honors College. He made great friends and memories within his Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. 

Sean is remembered for possessing unbreakable personal strength, positivity, faith, sense of humor and humility. Despite battling cancer three times, he was determined not to let his illness define him. We are inspired by him to remain “Sean Strong”. 

His Family…. Sean was a beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend and will be missed tremendously by them all. He will be greatly missed by his parents Pat and Carla Egan; siblings Kyle, Bridget, Cassidy and his girlfriend Lauren Funk.  Also, his grandparents, James and Rosalie Kesseler and Timothy Egan, several aunts, uncles and cousins.  His grandmother, Marilyn Egan and Aunt Cindy Kesseler precedes him in death. 
 

His Farewell….  Friends and family can gather to celebrate Sean’s life on Thursday May 1, 2025, at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, 1700 W Highland Rd. Howell, MI 48843, from 3:00pm-8:00pm (7:00pm Rosary). 

On Friday, May 2, 2025 a Catholic Mass and Burial will take place at 11:00am with Father Francis George presiding. Visitation will be from 10:00am-11:00am before the service at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2099 N Hacker Rd. Howell, MI 48855.  Burial service to follow across the street from the church.
