Her Legacy…  Susan Gayle Wenzel, age 76, passed away March 17, 2023.  She was born on November 10, 1946, in Dearborn, Michigan to Raymond and Carole (Smock) Carlson.  Sue married the love of her life, David Wenzel, on June 10, 1967, in Detroit, Michigan.  Sue was a fun, vivacious person who loved going to casinos and the movies.  Over the course of more than fifty years, she enjoyed going on vacations with her family, especially to Longboat Key, FL.  She was a manager at the local Lil’ Chef Restaurant in Brighton.  Sue also enjoyed reading, spending time in the hot tub, and cooking.  Her delicious chicken and dumplings is a recipe passed down through generations.  Most of all, Sue loved spending time with her family.  She will be greatly missed.

Her Family…  Sue will be missed by her children, Brian (Amy) Wenzel and Matthew Wenzel; siblings, Tim, Pat, and Tom; grandchildren, Ashley (Chris), Justin, Brittany (Hamilton), and Elizabeth; great grandchildren, Brayden, Avery, and Arlo; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She is preceded in death by her husband, David, her brothers, Lee, Kim, and Kit, and her parents, Raymond and Carole.

Her Farewell…  Sue’s family and friends will gather Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 1:00pm – 4:00pm at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel in Hamburg, Michigan.  Her Community Farewell will follow at 4:00pm.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the family for a tree fund.  Please leave a message of comfort for Sue’s family at 1-877-231-7900, or sign her guestbook at www.borekjennings.com.
