Her Legacy…Susie Elizabeth Overstreet Lindsay, 74, passed away on April 3, 2025. She was born on September 12, 1950, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Dr. John, MD and Statira (Butman) Overstreet. Susie married the love of her life, Dr. John T Lindsay, on September 23, 1973, in Columbia, Missouri. Susie was intelligent and outspoken. She enjoyed gardening with her husband, John and spent many peaceful hours fishing, canoeing, and sailing along the Huron River. Susie loved animals and shared her home with two cherished cats. In her free time, she took pleasure in woodworking and painting, especially creating dragon-themed art. Above all, she loved her children and her grandchildren deeply. She will be remembered fondly by those who knew her, and her love for the outdoors and creativity will live on in the memories she leaves behind.
Her Family… Susie will be missed by her husband Dr. John T Lindsay; her children, Rianna Marie Overstreet Lindsay and Gwen (Sean Murphy) Lindsay; siblings, Statira-Jane (Cory Rich) Overstreet and William Overstreet; grandchildren, Mia, Arya, and Zane; She is preceded in death by her parents, Dr. John, MD and Statira Overstreet.
Her Farewell… Susie’s family and friends will gather on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM, at Community Congregational Church, Pinckney, Michigan. Her Community Farewell will follow at 3:00 PM at Community Congregational Church, Pinckney, Michigan. Pastor Jacoba Koppert will serve as celebrant.
