Her legacy… Suzanne Marie Cowdrey, 80, passed away January 9, 2026. She was born on April 24, 1945, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Ralph Reid and Esther (Novak) Reid. Suzanne married the love of her life, Richard Cowdrey, on, May 25, 1968, in Saginaw, Michigan. Suzanne will be remembered as a lifelong educator who taught English, reading, and religion to countless children, helping them to learn and grow in their Catholic faith. She taught for 42 years in Catholic schools, spending time at St. Helen School in Saginaw and St. Mary School in Pinckney, where she finished her career by serving as principal. She could be seen on the sidelines of her children’s many athletic events, cheering them on and cross stitching. She also volunteered at the Livingston County Catholic Charities food bank and with many other community organizations.

Her Family… Suzanne will be missed by her husband of 57 years, Richard Cowdrey; her children, Jeffrey (Carrie) Cowdrey, Christine (Jason) Mulvin, Elizabeth (Rob) Page, Lisa (Matt) Wehrman; grandchildren, Caitlin (Nick) Ballein, Evan Cowdrey, Ashley Cowdrey, Alex (Kara Williams) Mulvin, Regan Mulvin, Declan Mulvin, Ethan Wehrman, Logan Wehrman; greatgrandson, Jameson Ballein; brother-in-law, Jerry (Cindy) Cowdrey; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Esther Reid.

Her Farewell… Suzanne’s family and friends will gather Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 3:00PM-8:00PM, at Borek Jennings Funeral Homes, Hamburg, Michigan. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at 11:00AM (10AM gathering), at St. Mary Catholic Church, Pinckney, Michigan. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Mary Catholic School in Pinckney.
