Suzanne Lynn Perras, 72 passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at her home in Pinckney, Michigan. Born October 24, 1947 to Earl Joseph Perras, and Marilyn Jane (Walker) Perras. Susie was the eldest of five children: Joseph T., Michael Earl, Marilee Jane, and Jon Wesley.
She graduated from Wayne Memorial High School in 1965 and joined AmeriCorps Vista (Volunteers in Service to America) which is dedicated to eradicating poverty. Sue spent time in very poor areas throughout the United States which began her life of dedicated service to others. After several years of service, she lived in New York City, and Minnesota before settling in Lexington, Kentucky working for the University of Kentucky for many years.
Sue was a devoted Christian, living her life according to the Bible in thought, word, and deed. She was kind, generous, and selfless. She loved helping those in need-both human and animal.
Once retiring from UK, she moved back to Michigan spending the last eight years living with her sister, Marilee and husband, Darrel Howe in Pinckney. Continuing her mission of helping others, she worked for Visiting Angels, cared for family members, friends, and house sat. Suz loved to garden, cook, bake, attend quilt auctions, teach Sunday School, care for stray animals, and host any gathering, but mostly, helping others.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Mike, and Jon, Aunt Pat, Uncle Walter, and Uncle Frank.
Suzanne was an example to us all. She leaves behind to mourn her; Brother Joe and Pamulia Perras of Beaverton, Michigan; Sister, Marilee and Darrel Howe, of Pinckney, Michigan; Aunt Golda Walker; cousin and friends; Bonnie and Tom Riutta, of Brighton; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and her church family.
