His Legacy… Terry Wayne Childress, 63, of Hamburg Township, formerly of Clinton Township, MI, passed away on March 22, 2026, while surrounded by family. Terry was born on February 16, 1963, in Elkhorn City, Kentucky to Hubert Childress and Juanita (Sloan) Childress. Terry married the love of his life, Dolly Ventimiglia, on April 4, 1987. He earned his undergraduate degree in Engineering at Lawrence Technological University in 1985 and earned his Master of Science in Engineering Management from Wayne State University in 2000. He worked as an Engineering Supervisor at Ford Motor Company for 30 years from June 1985 until his retirement in July 2015. He then took his talents briefly to AVL as a consultant, and finally to Volkswagen, as a senior manager for five years before retiring in April 2023 to spend time with his family. Terry loved spending time outside-camping or riding motorcycles with his sons, traveling with his wife, working on projects in the garage at home and making everyone around him laugh. His warm soul and quick wit will be missed greatly by those who were blessed to know him.
