Her Legacy… Thersia Jeanette Mendolia, 89, passed away August 30, 2025.  She was born on November 28, 1935, in Wenatchee, Washington to Phillip Johnson and Hettie (Fishback) Johnson. Thersia married the love of her life, Michael Mendolia, in May 1957, in Garden City, Michigan. She will be remembered as being strong in her faith and a great servant of her church.  Thersia served with St. John the Baptist Church fish fry’s, funeral lunches and participating in the 59ers group.  She loved cooking, crafting, sewing, traveling and listening to country music. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy as she never missed their school, theater, or sporting events. Thersia’s memory will live through her family, church family and friends.

Her Family… Thersia will be missed by her children, Theresia (Kevin) Rogers, Mark (Karen) Mendolia; siblings, Phyllis (Robert) Bennett, John (Pam) Johnson; grandchildren Tori Schiller, Brendan Mendolia; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Mendolia; parents, Phillip and Hettie Johnson; grandson, Trent Jacob Mendolia.

Her Farewell… Thersia’s family and friends will gather 4:00-8:00 PM (Rosary Service at 7:00 PM), Friday, September 5, 2025 at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Howell, Michigan. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM (10:00 AM Gathering) at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Howell, Michigan.  Father Francis George will serve as celebrant.
